Family Services Volunteer Opportunities
Interpreters & Translators: Utilize your language skills on an on-call basis to help interpret at Application Meetings or for our Partner Families at classes or appointments. Periodically, the Family Services Department also has documents that need to be translated. Greatest needs are for Spanish, Arabic, Bosnian, Laos, Vietnamese, and Thai speakers.

Home Maintenance Guest Speaker: The Family Services Department offers Home Maintenance classes to Partner Families in the Homeownership Program. Classes include Outside the Home, Inside the Home, Plumbing, Electrical, and Systems & Appliances. If you are handy and want to share your knowledge and skills with a group of Partner Families, opportunities are available throughout the year on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings. Curriculum is provided, but Guest Speakers are encouraged to bring props for demonstrations to enhance class content.

Previous Home Maintenance experience
Special Events Support: Put your event planning skills to good use and assist the Family Services Department in planning and preparing for a special event. Periodic events throughout the year are a great opportunity to donate your time by helping with anything from gathering materials to working at an event.
